Cian O’Brien, currently Producer /  Artists Development with Rough Magic Theatre Company, has been appointed Artistic Director of Project Arts Centre.

 Cian joined the staff of Rough Magic in October 2007 as Associate Producer following his participation in the 2006/07 Rough Magic SEEDS programme.

 The staff and board of Rough Magic wish to congratulate and thank Cian for his dedication, commitment and hard work.

 Artistic Director Lynne Parker said “Cian has brought enormous passion and energy to Rough Magic and was instrumental in expanding Rough Magic’s Artist Development programmes. Although we will miss him we are delighted that he will bring those qualities to the most exciting creative space in the country, one which plays such a crucial part in our own work. His appointment to Project is great news for the future development of artists and theatre makers”.

 Executive Producer Diego Fasciati commented “Is has been a pleasure to work with someone of Cian’s ability and calibre. We thank him for his dedication to his work over the last four years and look forward to working with him in his new capacity.”
